| Health and Safety
All aspects of Health and Safety within the workplace are adhered to by AC Allin Construction LTD. We try our upmost to abide by safety laws working closely with Fletcher Associates who advise us in our work. On site Health and Safety is a matter of priority when undertaking any job however big or small. We always allocate a site foreman for each job. This person has control over all personnel attending site whether it is with what personnel do or where they are located. If the Site Forman believes that someone is unable to do their job to the best of their ability or they do not hold the correct qualifications for a particular skill then the foreman is within his right to send them off site. AC Allin Construction LTD welcome sub contractors to use personnel currently undertaking apprenticeships as working first hand using their skill is the best way for someone to learn. However, we have to abide by Health and Safety laws as they are put in place for a reason, as people can appreciate, so therefore it is in the clients best interests that we ask all sub contractors to provide young persons risk assessment sheets providing AC Allin Construction LTD with the information to decide if the young person in question is capably of undertaking the work to hand. At all times a log sheet is kept on site for visitors to sign in. Accompanying this log sheet is a file containing all local amenities and provisions provided either by AC Allin Construction LTD or the client complying with Health and Safety regulations. No personnel start work on site until they have attended the site induction, undertaken by the site foreman, providing them with the knowledge about evacuation procedures and site rules. All amenities are clearly sign posted on site with others detailed within the site file. For example local hospital and fire services. Pre-tender Health and Safety plans must be provided for AC Allin Construction LTD before a project starts and all sub-contractors have to provide Method Statements and risk assessment sheets before starting work on site.
